They are only this little once, and they grow so very fast.
I want you to remember how emotional and incredible it felt to welcome your new baby into this world. Capturing your newborn in professional photographs in the first weeks of life will document them for you to hold on to forever and transport you to this incredible moment in your life and that of your newborn.
I capture your newborn in a very safe, relaxed environment giving you a positive memory of the whole experience. I aim to create beautiful images that incorporate your existing family and your baby. My style takes into consideration yours. I adore using natural and colourful tones, textures and simple styles that focus on your baby.
As a mother and a photographer, I believe that every milestone is precious in a humans life and children should be celebrated and captured starting with newborn babies as this is the most fleeting and special time. Ideally, I photograph newborns between 5 and 12 days old; so planning ahead is very important. Please book your session with me as soon as you know your due date. I will set the precise date after your baby is born.
Newborn photography requires knowledge of not just photography, but baby safety, session design and baby whispering skills. You only have one opportunity to create these images, and I feel honoured that my clients trust me to make memories of their precious new baby.
* For babies older than 12 days we can take beautiful portraits, and there are many examples of this in my Latest Work, some of the poses and props may be different as your baby is used to being outside the womb and much bigger and stronger.
WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO BASED?
My home studio is located in Old Llantrisant area. I have wifi, parking and sky-Q. I photograph newborns there Monday to Friday.
The nearby area has a retail shopping park, gorgeous places to eat, a soft play area for toddlers and it is just off junction 34 of the m4, approximately 20 minutes to Cardiff.
IS THERE A MINIMUM SPEND REQUIREMENT WHEN IT COMES TO ORDERING MY MINI OR FULL SESSION PHOTOS?
Mini sessions are shorter and so fewer images are taken and edited. Each mini session comes with two full-size digital negatives of your favourite photos. Approximately 8-10 edited images are available for your selection. Further prints, digital negatives and wall art are available to purchase from the à la carte product menu with no minimum order.
Full sessions like "Classic Family" & "Classic Newborn" require more images taken and between 20-30 are edited to create album options. There are many options for different budgets, so it's best to discuss this before you book. My minimum order is £250.
I have a full pricing guide that lists my different collections and individually priced products in detail as well as add-on items like unframed prints.
My clients typically spend between £400 and £3000 on their photos from full sessions with digital negatives priced from £80-£600. My beautiful products include rustic and classic frames, modern metal art and beautifully handcrafted albums.
I want you to buy what you want and my open and relaxed sales approach has meant that my clients return year after year for more sessions with me.
Beautiful portraits sell themselves.
CAN I BUY JUST THE DIGITAL NEGATIVES?
Yes, and there are also discounted collection for customers wanting a USB and wall art.
HOW DO I BOOK MY SESSION?
Please get in touch via my contact form, and I will get back to you. For newborn and maternity sessions I will need to know your estimated due date and baby's gender if you know. You are welcome to call me and discuss the details.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE SEE MY PORTRAITS?
A "sneak peek" image can be shared on social media a day or two after your session while you wait.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after your session, we arrange an in-person viewing and ordering appointment where you will see a gallery of 20-30 hand edited images (8-10 mini sessions) for you to make your choices from. Please refer to the product page for more details; a full pricing guide will be sent to you in advance.
