I often look through the images I have taken and cherry pick the ones I adore and love and then I place them into my favourites file. I love to show my file and I noticed that when I ask others what they like the most that their preferences are slightly different to mine. I noted that this is especially true of the “no smile” shots. I have a lot of these style images as I love to practice on my little boys. I can capture some lovely pouts or, adorable pensive expressions while they concentrate on the latest episode of Dora The Explorer and are basically ignoring me! I think that some of my favourite shots are the natural shots. I love the sweet way they look and it’s not usual for people to constantly smile and even though a smile is lovely to behold sometimes the relaxed face, or a little pouting is just as beautiful..jpg)
I love this picture of my son D’Arcy, I love is “giantnormous” bottom lip pout. He does it when he wants to win you over, you can probably guess that it often works! Little does he know that it works just as well when he gives me his huge sparkly smile.
